Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop – a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Matt 13:8
We give grateful thanks to God that He has appointed a new vicar to our churches. And we give thanks for the dedicated work that the team has given to this task of finding the right person. We ask God to bless Kath and her husband Phil, and all their family, as they up sticks and move to our community. And we ask for His blessings on the Church that they have left behind, that it may thrive and prosper in the future.
We give thanks to God also that the exam season is nearly over and our young people will be able to breathe again. We pray for God’s arm of security and safety during the summer for our young people, and that they will know His presence and His love for them.
We celebrate Father’s Day by praying for all our dads, but also all those who have guided and protected us like a father, whether related to us or not. We pray for those teachers that believed that we had the right talents to be encouraged. We pray for those friends who listened to us when we were hurting. We pray for those pastors that walked us through the deep valleys of life. We ask for His blessing on each one, so that they will know they are appreciated.
We pray for all our elderly friends, especially the house-bound, who in this hot weather, may be at risk or feeling distressed. We pray that we may be able to find ways to help them and bring them comfort.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23
