This is a very special Christmas Service involving the children, teenagers and adults of the church and the community.
Evergreens are gathered, and large (I mean huge!) fresh garlands are constructed by hand in the Parish Hall, by the adults.
On the day itself the younger children, dressed as Mary and Joseph, angels and shepherds etc, place the nativity figures in the crib and form a tableau. The older children/teenagers/young adults collect the garlands and encircle the church with them, before hoisting them up to the rafters. The Christmas tree lights are lit, traditional carols sung and the Christmas story told.
