The Funeral of Kathleen Littler will take place at Church on Tuesday 8th September at 11am. All are welcome to attend.
St. Michael’s Church every Tuesday at 4pm.
Join us as we pray for the church, the world and the parishes of Aughton and Bickerstaffe.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” Philippians 4:6
If there is a person, situation, community, or concern that you would like us to include in
our prayers, please complete a prayer request slip and place it in the box at the back of church. These requests will be included during Evening Prayer.
Meeting at 10.30am on Saturday 12th September at St. James Church, Westhead.
The walk will be 2.8 miles.
We will visit parts of Westhead and Ormskirk and will end up at The Prince Albert Pub.
1. Start on Vicarage Lane and visit St James Church Westhead. The Church has an exhibition on because it’s 175 years old. They are open for a coffee / look around on Saturday mornings.
2. From Church on to the footpath which leads to Westhead.
3. A577 main road back to School Lane.
4. School Lane to Whiteleys Lane to Wellfield Lane and back to the Church.
5. Move the cars to the Prince Albert Pub for a lovely lunch.
As always, the walks are at your own risk, please wear suitable footwear. All walks have been risk assessed but please consider that you are physically able to complete the walk. Please also consider what equipment you may need for the walk.
The group meets monthly. New walkers always welcome!

Bringing our Parish Family Together. A new all-age gathering beginning on 13th September and then on the 2nd Sunday of every month. If anyone would like to be involved with this, please speak with Andrew or Pam.
Holy Communion service led by Andrew. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Starting in September, there will be a new group meeting on the third Wednesday of each month meeting in the Church Hall. The first Aughton Wednesday Social Group will be on
Wednesday 16th September at 1pm. We will meet for a bowl of soup at 1pm followed by an activity or a speaker. Please invite friends.
The Book Club will next meet at 7pm, in St. Michael’s Church Hall on Thursday, 17th September, when we shall discuss “You Deserve Nothing” by Alexander Maksik.
All welcome.
The Men’s Breakfasts will be held in St Michael’s Church Hall at 9.30am on the following dates: 23rd May,18th July,19th September, 7th November.
There will be a full fry up for £5 followed by a speaker. Sign up at the back of church and
bring a friend!

The next group will meet in the North Aisle of Bickerstaffe Church on Wednesday 2nd September at 1pm. Come for a bowl of soup and after, enjoy playing a selection of board games. Please invite friends, family and neighbours. A sign-up sheet is at the back of church.
