The Quinquennial Review of 2023 identified essential repairs and renovation at Lathom Park Chapel.
Phase 1 - the most significant urgent repairs to rainwater goods to stop and prevent further ingress of water. This phase was completed in 2024 and funded by the chapel from reserves of historical legacies and a grant from Listed Places of Worship Scheme - with grateful thanks.
Phase 2 - investigate the potential issues identified and attend to the remaining urgent repairs and renovation. These include: timber sub-frames to the side windows; slipped roof tiles; kitchen window sill; flashing to dormer vent; boiler house ridge/tiles and handrails; enlarge roof hatches; fire-break in loft between kitchen and neighbour. Initial estimates of costs are in the regions of £25,000 plus VAT.
In order to keep this beautiful chapel in good condition for future generations we need to ensure this work is carried out to a high standard. We rely on, and very much appreciate, generous donations and legacies from our supporters. Before work can commence, applications for grants are also being made. Thank you to the Benefact Trust for a donation towards our project.
