Baptisms, also known as Christenings, are held on the third Sunday of the  month in our 10-30 am Family Service. Before your child's baptism, you will be expected to attend one preparation session, which will give you an introduction to the Christian faith, and let you know what to expect at the service. It will also give you a chance to get to know the leadership team at St Helen's. 

Baptism is a joyful occasion, when we not only thank God for the presence of a child in our lives, but welcome them into the family of the Church. To find out more about baptism in the Church of England, why not visit the webpage dedicated to them at :

Adults who come to faith later in life may also be baptised, as long as they were not baptised as a child. Please ask Arthur our vicar about this.
