Service by the Chaplaincy to Russian Speakers in the Diocese of London. Our services in Russian are more of an evangelical type. We use guitar and a portable sound system. Some songs are purely Russian baptist/pentecostal songs, some translated from English. We also use the organ. We have two three hymns, normally at the beginning and the end. They are traditional Anglican hymns. We follow the BCW liturgy for Holy Communion every Sunday, except special evangelistic services. The service lasts about 2 hours and we have tea/coffee afterwards. Contact Fr. Andrei Petrine for details. [email protected]
There is usually a weekly organ recital on Tuesday at 12:30, with free entry and voluntary retiring collection. The recital will be suspended when COVID-19 restrictions advise everyone to stay at home as much as possible.
A service of Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is usually held on Wednesday at 12:30, with the chaplain, the Revd David Goodburn. The service usually includes a hymn, a short sermon, organ accompaniment and organ voluntary. During COVID-19 restrictions, the service will be adapted to current guidance from the Church of England, and suspended when everyone is advised to stay at home and avoid travel.
