St Mark’s Teddington

St Mark's is very much a local church. Most of our parishioners can walk to church which makes us unique in this part of the world where many people commute to churches. Our USP (sorry the vicar was in marketing once upon a time) is that we are prayerful and contemplative.

We are local people worshiping locally. We don't have professional level music, cathedral style flowers and loads of techie staff. We are a prayerful church of flawed and caring people who are seeking how to make Jesus Christ visible in their lives and the community that surrounds us. We make mistakes but that is OK because we are loved by God.

We have made the decision to focus on in person worship. In his ministry Jesus was present physically for the people around him. We discovered during lockdown that embodied worship, being together in the building, was really important.

If you would like us to pray for you then please get in contact with the vicar Revd Karen Wellman at [email protected] or on 0208 9774067.

And pray for us as we work out how to do church differently.
