Sunday Morning Worship

A modern language service with singing led by our choir and separate age-specific activities for young people. On most Sunday's this is a service of Holy Communion. The 3rd Sunday of each month is usually a family service. The service is followed by refreshments.

Festival Evensong

We celebrate our Patronal Festival on 7 September. This is the Sunday closest to the day when the church celebrates the birth of the Virgin Mary, to whom our church building is dedicated.

The service of Choral Evensong will feature our talented choir and organist. After the service there will be a reception with a glass of wine or soft drink.

Organ Day

At Monken Hadley we have a fine organ by Forster & Andrews which is used at most of our services. As part of the Royal College Of Organists "Play The Organ Year" we are holding an open morning for anyone that's interested in the organ.

Do you want to know how the organ works? Why is there more than one keyboard? What do all the stop knobs do? We will have videos and a talk that will answer all of these.

There's also the opportunity for anyone that wants to have a go on the organ. If you play piano already you can bring some music you are familiar with. If you are a total beginner we can guide you through your first notes.

Entry is free but donations to support our music programme are welcome.

Organ Recital

At Monken Hadley we have a fine organ by Forster & Andrews which is used at most of our services. As part of the Royal College Of Organists "Play The Organ Year" we are holding an organ recital. Featuring our talented organist Jonathan Gregory with support from some his organ pupils the evening promises much entertainment.

Entry is free but donations to support our music programme are welcome. Wine and soft drinks will be available to buy before the concert and during the interval.
