Parish Finances and Giving
With the closure of the Church Hall due to Coronavirus restrictions we have lost most of our parish income for the time being. The planned giving from our congregation members that is received by standing order, whilst it represents generous giving, is not enough by itself to cover monthly outgoings such as Common Fund contributions and insurance. In short, to avoid a cash-flow crisis, we need to ask for more money.
Finances are, of course, difficult at the moment for people who have lost work, been furloughed or are self-employed. But this doesn’t apply to everyone, and if your income has stayed the same but your expenditure has gone down (perhaps because you are not commuting or going out) would you be able to consider increasing your regular gift to the Church for the duration of this emergency, or else making a one-off gift?
Standing orders may be set up and one-off transfers made online to the Parish’s account:
Account name: St Matthias PCC; Sort Code: 40 - 03 - 26; Account number: 81460676
Please make sure that your name is included as a reference so that the Treasurer can identify your gift. If you pay income tax please also download and complete the Pledge Form and Gift Aid declaration linked from this page.
Forms, or cheques made payable to "St Matthias PCC", should be sent to:
The PCC Treasurer, c/o The Vicarage, 48 Rushgrove Avenue, Colindale NW9 6QY
(Any envelopes sent to the Treasurer at the above address will be forwarded unopened to the Treasurer's private address; the Parish Priest does not see the contents. Please do not send cash.)
