St Mary Magdalene's Church

All are welcome to our church either to worship or simply to visit.  Standing proudly and very firmly within the Catholic Tradition of the Church of England, we aim to proclaim the love of God to the people that we serve.

We are a modern yet traditional, humorous, supportive and inclusive worshiping community. We offer a warm welcome where all have the opportunity to encounter the love of God with us. Our worship is modern, un-fussy and lively yet dignified, reverent, biblical and rooted in Christian Tradition.

At the request of the Parochial Church Council and Parish Priest, the Bishop of Manchester has placed us under the pastoral and sacramental care of the Rt Revd Stephen Race, Bishop of Beverley, the Provincial Episcopal Visitor.

We have excellent facilities including an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities within the church, a children’s church every Sunday from 9.10am – 10.15am, and a full loop system for people who have difficulty in hearing.

We are a lively congregation of all ages who seek God's will in an ever more complex and challenging world.

We are a very busy congregation and on our church near you site as well as the notice boards both inside & outside of our church you will be able to see many of the social as well as spiritual events held at St Mary Magdalene’s throughout the year as well as details of forthcoming events that happen in Winton.
