Getting here

Our church is of the modern catholic tradition and has a strong call to social justice.  We believe that we are called to serve all of our parish welcoming people for weddings, funerals, blessings and baptisms whether you are old friends or new.

We have an excellent choir and organist.  We also welcome students from the RNCM looking for choral scholarships.  We have a regular program of concerts from various orchestras owing to our exceptional acoustics and spacious, bright building.

We strive to be inclusive and have accessibility measures in place, ramps and accessible toilet facilities, a hearing loop and a Foodbank (Saturday mornings 10am-12noon).  We also actively support the work of Accepting Evangelicals (AE) and the Lesbian, Gay and Transgender Foundation (LGBT Foundation), asylum seekers and have a particular ministry to Iranian converts to Christianity at present.

As well as enjoying our strong music department, we also delight in silent, contemplative prayerful spaces including Eucharists, regular quiet days and seasonal groups in which we enjoy spiritual and theological reflection interspersed with times of silence.

Affiliated to both St Peter's Chaplaincy and the Student Christian Movement (SCM), Holy Innocents is the spiritual home of a number of academics and students of various disciplines from law, science and medicine to mathematics and business studies.  Whether you are on placement in Manchester, or studying long term; parents of children from our Church School, St James, have always lived in Fallowfield or are travelling in from further afield, please know that you will be made very welcome here at Holy Innocents.
