Church of England Diocese of Manchester Saint James, Hope

St James' Hope

St James' Church Hope is a welcoming Anglican Church in Salford with a place for everyone, whether confident in faith or wanting to explore more.

In light of the government's recent announcements and Church of England guidelines we are unable to hold services in church at present.

Our Clergy Team will continue to produce an online service each Sunday on the St James Hope Facebook page .

We are awaiting further advice from the diocese about future services and will provide an update in due course.

Keeping you safe: Should you need to enter the church building for any reason during this time it is mandatory that face coverings are worn by all ministers, worshippers, staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors, where there may be other people present; remembering that they are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer, from coronavirus (COVID-19) and that they are not a replacement for social distancing and regular hand washing.

St James' Hope are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
