Sacred Trinity Church

We would love to welcome you to join us at Sacred Trinity Church on Chapel Street in Salford where our Sunday morning service starts at 11:15am. Our morning service is always followed by the chance to stay and chat over a cup of  coffee or tea! On most Sunday evenings we meet from 6:45pm for a cuppa before the worship itself starts at 7:15pm with something different depending on which Sunday in the month ~ see our Services and Events page for more details.

We invite you to join us for evenings of Music, Spoken Word and Inspiration for the Journey on the second Sunday of the month here at Sacred Trinity Church Chapel Street. Doors open 6.30pm, with the event starting at 7pm. We run a bar and take cash or card. The admission is free but donations are always welcomed. On Sunday 10th March the Dreamspace Evening, we will raise money for the Kimbilio Project, where people work to support the needs of children living on the streets in D.R. Congo.

We are now in LENT 2024! The main dates are:

Sunday, 24th March is Palm Sunday: please join us for a service of Holy Communion (and the distribution of Palm Crosses) at 11:15am on that day. Later, at 7:15pm we have Stations Of The Cross, a time of reflection on all that Jesus went through during the first Holy Week. 

Thursday, 28th March is Maundy Thursday: the church will be open for private prayer. In the evening we may share a simple meal and watch an appropriate film. 

Friday, 29th March is Good Friday: we meet at church at and process to our sister church in St Ann's Square for a service there.

At 4:30pm Good Friday Afternoon, 29th March, the Manchester Baroque Orchestra will be playing at Manchester Cathedral to perform Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with Manchester Cathedral Choir, one of the most moving pieces of music ever written, performed for the occasion in the church calendar for which it was originally written. Sunday, 31st March is EASTER DAY! We have an Early Easter Morning Service at 8am plus our 11:15am Service of Holy Communion for Easter Day ~ note: the clocks go forward one hour the evening before!

We are OPEN as a Place Of Welcome on a Tuesday from 12noon until 2pm. Please call in to see us, share drinks, snacks and chat with others. 

The "Being There" Study Course takes place at 7pm on a Thursday evening; a simple meal followed by an interesting discussion ~ all are welcome!

Sacred Trinity is a friendly, open-minded church. Here since 1635, We continue to be an uplifting, loving, transformative and sometimes surprising presence in our community. We produce a short video service which is available to view on Facebook and our YouTube Channel, simply search for Sacred Trinity Church.  On Wednesdays we have a half hour service of quiet meditation at 6pm called "Silence In The City".

The Diocese of Manchester partners with thirtyone:eight and you can access their Safeguarding Helpline if the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser is unavailable. Thirtyone:eight can be contacted on 0303 003 1111. This also includes any safeguarding queries outside of office hours on weekdays and weekends. An Information Sharing Agreement between the two organisations will allow the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser to receive a copy of the advice thirtyone:eight may offer the caller.
