Harvest

Our Harvest Festival Service is on Sunday, 1st October 2023 at 11:15am. God has blessed us with God’s bounty in innumerable ways. We receive all we need to live through creation. The food we eat, the clothes we wear, and the shelter we live in are all traced back to it. While we all benefit from the harvest God provides for us, we as humans often fail to be good stewards. Not only do we fall short when it comes to looking after our planet, but we also do not distribute the fruits of creation in just or equitable ways. For this reason, there are people in need in our communities.

The Sacred Trinty community is spending part of this Harvest Festival considering how we can better help the people in our area who have been affected by society’s inability to fairly share its resources. We are having our annual collection for the homeless, and any donation you can make will go a long way in helping others. Please think about bringing in donations from the following groups: food & drink, clothing, and toiletries. “Food & Drink” includes fresh food (such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, milk, and bread), porridge oats, sugar, biscuits, supermarket vouchers, mugs/cups, tea, coffee, and juice. Next, “clothing” includes new underwear, new socks, small backpacks, hats, gloves, and scarves. Finally, “toiletries” are deodorant, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, moisturising lotion, face cream, razors, and shaving foam. For a more complete list, please use this link. All of the donations we gather will go to the Booth Centre to be distributed to the homeless.
