St Anne, Longsight, Royton

Welcome and thank you for visiting these pages.

St Anne's Royton  seeks to serve the community of Royton (Longsight)  and has done so for over 110 years.

You can find details of usual services and regular activities under the Services and Events tab and you will be made most welcome.

This September we are holding a Community  Open Evening on Wednesday 28th September 7pm-9pm in which everyone is invited to see what we do in and for our community and we would love to hear your views and experiences of living and working here in our community of Longsight Royton. What is important to you about our community and our Church? What do you feel the needs of the community are? How might the church join in with what is already happening on our community? Look our for the invitation in you letterbox!

When our Vicar , The Revd Liz Devall, first joined us last year  she embarked on a Prayer Pilgrimage HIS STORY - OUR STORY around the Parish of St Anne's Royton and our sister parish St Mark's Heyside called His Story - Our Story. From the 18th July to 15th August 2021Revd Liz walked and prayed around every street of the two parishes. Her journey was followed on our Facebook and Twitter pages and in weekly newsletter updates. See the HIS STORY - OUR STORY page  to find out more about how she got on and how you can still continue to support our churches! The sponsored element of the Pilgrimage raised £660 - meaning each church received £220 and Dr Kershaw's Hospice received £220 too.

"The parish of Royton: St Anne, Longsight is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
