Did you know that Stubbins had a connection to the 1953 Coronation.....

It is amazing the history of Stubbins and the close connection to St Philip's Church through our new warden Philip Dunne. A Rosebank fabric, printed on satin and linen by Turnbull & Stockdale at Stubbins, designed by Philip Stockford for the 1953 Coronation. It was entitled Pomp and Circumstance after Sir Edward Elgar’s music and depicts many of the ceremonies, regalia and orders of chivalry and honour familiar to us from last Saturday with the ancient Coronation chair at its centre. It was exported to New York and worldwide as well as being acclaimed here.
