Church of England Diocese of Manchester St. Gabriel Prestwich

St Gabriel, Prestwich

Welcome to St Gabriel's Parish Church, Sedgley Park, Prestwich.  We are a faithful, welcoming and friendly Christian presence at the heart of this richly diverse local community, which has so much to offer the world.  You can find us next to St Gabriel's Medical Centre on Bishops Road.  Our building is closed, to stop the spread of the coronavirus.  But you can contact us through this website.  Under the heading "About Us", you can find pages of prayers and reflections for personal use, updated regularly - and a video of a conversation between our two clergy Steve and Margaret on Covid-19 and Christian faith, recorded on 22nd March.

The parish of Prestwich: St Gabriel is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
