We are offering St Gabriel's Church, Bishops Road, Sedgley Park, Prestwich M25 0HT as a collection hub for people who want to donate material items for refugees in central Europe fleeing Ukraine. An international Christian group, the Barnabas Fund, are in a position to deliver items to churches near the Ukrainian borders with Poland, Moldova and Romania working with refugees. They are working in partnership with an organisation called "food.gives". They ask specifically for: tinned food (that can be opened without a can opener), cup-a-soup packets and energy bars; and Nappies!Ring or email us to arrange to drop off items. Items may also be left in the Parish House porch, the house immediately next to the Church.
