Good Friday - 3rd April 2026

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Saint Benedict's Parish Church, Blyth (North West)
Address
Brierley Road/Devonworth Place Cowpen Blyth, NE24 5AU, United Kingdom

The sanctuary is bare, the church is quiet, without music. Join us this Good Friday as we journey to the foot of the cross. We come as they did, all those years ago
“Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, ‘Woman, behold your son!’ Then He said to the disciple, ‘Behold your mother!’ And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.”

Join us this Holy Week 2026 as we walk together through the story at the heart of our faith. From the hope of Palm Sunday to the quiet of the Upper Room and the solemnity of Good Friday, and prepare to celebrate the resurrection on Easter Day.

If you’ve been thinking about coming back to church, or if you’re curious about exploring faith, this is a beautiful moment to begin. Come as you are and take the journey with us.
