The Church of the Ascension

All are welcome here at the Church of the Ascension. Our weekly parish communion is 9:30am on Sundays followed by refreshments. Our churchwardens Carol and Leanne will be happy to chat with you about our services.

The parish of Kenton: The Ascension is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Messy Church...
* is a way of being church for families involving fun
* is a church, not a craft club, that helps people encounter Jesus as Lord and Saviour
* is found across the world
* values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration
* is part of Bible Reading Fellowship which believes, with the historic churches, in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
