About Us
The parish church of the Ascension, Kenton aims to show Christ’s love to all people by extending a warm and open welcome to all and by working in partnership with our local community for the benefit of all people by serving Christ in the wider world.
Our way of life is rooted in prayer and worship, set in the context of regular Holy Communion and daily prayer.
As members of the Church of England we aim to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom, to teach, baptise and nurture new believers, respond to human need in loving service and work in the wider world for justice and peace.
Our Vision To have a full and active church with lively music enhancing our worship. To keep our church building in good repair and give it a welcoming atmosphere to encourage participation by the whole community. To have a programme of outreach to children and young people and welcome all ages and encourage participation of all. To be more visible in the community and to show our commitment to the community by working with community groups to improve the quality of life for the whole parish. To see people growing in faith here in Kenton.
