Alpha brings together people from all walks of life who are curious about faith. Each session starts with some time to eat, relax and get to know your group. Each session covers a different topic of faith, either in a short talk or video. The Alpha episodes are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They’re about thirty minutes long and explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith? and How does God guide us?The last part of an Alpha is a chance to share your thoughts on the session’s topic and discuss it in your small groups. It’s an open and welcoming environment, no matter what your opinion. There’s no pressure to say anything, but the floor is yours if you do want to._______________________________________A chance to find out about the Christian Faith at St Mary's, Longframlington, starting on Thursday 15th January at 7pm. Parents/carers and their 0-4 year olds are guaranteed a warm welcome at our weekly Food and Fun with Toddly Play sessions. Sessions run most Thursdays during term time 9.00am – 11.00am in the community room at St Michael and all Angels Church, Felton. You are sure to be greeted with a smile and a warm drink on arrival where there are plenty of toys to keep the little ones entertained and a delicious breakfast spread available to keep hungry tummies happy! During the session, at approximately 10.00am everyone is invited through into church for Toddly Play. Toddly play is an informal service that begins with lighting the candle and ends with bubble prayers. During the service we share a story, sing songs and explore sensory play trays all linked to the half termly theme. Following Toddly Play we return to the community room for more drinks/food and play. Listen out for the song “Bye Bye Baby” signalling that our time together has come to an end and we look forward to seeing you all the following week. If you would like to join us there is no need to book, just come along each week. Sessions are free but we do ask for a food bank donation to be placed in the collection boxes found in the church foyer. Many thanks for your support.
