A relatively quiet Communion service on Tuesday morning in traditional language using the Book of Common Prayer which usually lasts about 30 minutes.
We celebrate Communion every Sunday at 11am except the fifth Sunday of the month in Autumn and Winter, when a Benefice service is held in one of our sister churches.
This is the central act of worship in our week with music and singing, which usually lasts an hour and is then followed by refreshments.

There will be no Evening Prayer in St Aidan's Church on Sunday 6th July.
This is usually a said service according to the Book of Common Prayer, lasting around 25 minutes.
Incense is often used.
Occasionally this service is replaced by a Deanery Service elsewhere.
We take the opportunity to join together as a Benefice for one service whenever there is a 5th Sunday in the month - the next of these falls on St Aidan's Patronal Festival so will be celebrated and held at St Aidan's Church in Bamburgh. We will also be welcoming Bishop Stephen Platten to preach and preside at this service.
