During September our preaching will be focused on the Season of Creation, which runs until October 5th. This is a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation, and during this time we join our sisters and brothers in the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home. The these for 2025 is "Peace with Creation" with the hope and expectation that Creation will find peace when justice is restored. To hope in a biblical context does not mean tto stand still and stay quiet but to act, pray, change and reconcile with Creation and the Creator in unity, metanoia (repentance) and solidarity. It culminates with our Harvest Festival on 5th October when we will be thinking of our neighbours in the farming community here and elsewhere in the world.

St Aidan's, Bamburgh

St Aidan’s is open each day for all to visit, to pray, to step back into history.

St Aidan's is a church with layers of history, reaching back to St Aidan who founded this church in the 7th Century.  We welcome visitors to our church throughout the year, and are always happy to see new faces in our congregation. We celebrate Communion at 11am every Sunday, apart from occasional  fifth Sundays of the month; please see the service details below for information.  We hold a midweek Communion service at 10am every Tuesday.

Follow our Benefice on Facebook (Bamburgh, Belford & Lucker), or the Friends of St Aidan's Facebook page to see what else is happening.   For baptism, wedding and funeral enquiries please get in touch with Revd Louise.

The parish of Bamburgh, St Aidan's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. (see the Safeguarding page on this website). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
