Church of England Diocese of Newcastle Belford

St Mary's, Belford

St Mary's is in the heart of the village of Belford.  We welcome visitors to our church throughout the year, and are always happy to see new faces in our congregation.  We celebrate Communion at 9am every Sunday, except Sunday July 4th which will be a Benefice service at 11am in Bamburgh.

Zoom Evening Prayer takes place every Wednesday at 7pm. Follow our Benefice on Facebook (Bamburgh, Belford & Lucker), or St Mary's own Facebook page to see what is happening, and email the Vicar, Louise, via the Contact page for more information.   Funerals can still take place in church with a maximum of 30 people in attendance, as can weddings.    For baptism enquiries please get in touch.,  If you wish to visit our church for private prayer please wear a face mask and use hand sanitiser when entering and on leaving.

The parish of Belford: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. (see the Safeguarding page on this website).  If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services..
