About Us

St. Mary’s Parish Church, Belford is a listed Grade 2 building, situated on a hill overlooking the village. A chapel has stood on this site since the 12th century. The current building was extensively remodelled in the early 19th century.

Sunday morning worship is usually 9.00 am with sung Eucharist, but on fifth Sundays we join with our sister parishes of St. Hilda, Lucker and St Aidan Bamburgh at 11.00 am, alternating between churches. A mid-week said Eucharist  is usually offered on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am, but this may move to a different day when appropriate.

Access is usually up a steep path from the Market Place, however easier access is located off North Bank opposite Clarke Place.

Everyone is always welcome.
