St Mary's Church, Woodford Halse

St Mary's church has been a focal point for Woodford Halse for hundreds of years and it is today. We happily welcome everyone to our services and events with a play area for children, cushions and blankets for winter days and refreshments. We have monthly Holy Communion and Cafe Church. The Holy Communion uses modern language while Cafe Church is an occasion of activities, prayers and tea, coffee and biscuits or cake. Music is usually provided by the Band. Musicians are welcome to join.

Safeguarding

The parish of Woodford Halse: St Mary the Virgin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Peterborough’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO (Lesley Palmer: [email protected]) If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA: ([email protected]). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
