Music and Worship

5 bells, restored 2012.
Currently no regular ringing practice.
Bells ring for Evensong and for special services.

Bilton Silver Band joins us for our Candlelit Carols service, usually the second Sunday in December.

We have a small Henry Bryceson organ (listed) and are very grateful to organists from Crick, who come to play it for some services and a village lady who plays for Evensong.

Evensong (4th Sunday of the month, 6.00pm)

No weekly choir, but our 'Occasions Choir' sings for Harvest, Christmas and as required for any special services.

Groups, Courses and Activities

Alpha and Start have run in the benefice, and will probably run again, but we currently have no incumbent.

We hold several events through the year; they combine fundraising with a form of outreach. They include two Jumble Sales, a 'Cream Teas at the Church' weekend, and a Harvest Supper served in the church after the Harvest Festival (usually the last Sunday of September)

Help for Visitors

We're happy to show people our church, by arrangement

We have a great deal of information about the history of the church, the history of the village, the Norman castle that was opposite (castle mounds now a scheduled monument; no access) and the people of Lilbourne in the last few centuries. Churchyard graves have been professionally surveyed and numbered, all legible inscriptions have been recorded, and a wealth of information has been provided through genealogical research. Registers held in the church go back to the 1830s.

Daylight hours every day. Visitors very welcome.

Dogs on leads are welcome. There's a water bowl by the tap ouside the porch.

Daylight hours every day.

No racks, but chain your bike to a tree or fence.
