You’re invited to church this Christmas!

You are very welcome at our Advent and Christmas services and events – bring your family and friends or come along on your own. Whether it will be your first time at church or you have been before, we look forward to welcoming you!

Our regular services are: SUNDAY SERVICES Morning Holy Communion every Sunday of the month at 9am and Evensong third Sunday of the month at 6pm; WEDNESDAY MORNING Holy Communion at 10am; FRIDAY MORNING PRAYERS first Friday of month at 10.15am before Forget-Me-Not Cafe at 11am. Everyone is welcome at our range of services and events throughout the year and also to visit the church building and churchyard just to look around, explore and reflect. Join us for this service for all ages on the Second Sunday of Advent on 7th December 9am for this celebration of the light of Christ.

We’ll make a ‘Christingle’ with an orange (representing the World), sticks of fruit and sweets (representing the good things God provides); red ribbon (representing Jesus blood which was poured out for us on The Cross). The lit candle represents Jesus shining his light into our lives and all the world.

We’ll be lighting the second candle on our advent wreath, too.

Inviting you to come along on the Third Sunday of Avent, when the third candle on our advent wreath will be lit. Come visit the church during the week to see the advent wreath candle flickering in the church porch.

Come along on the Fourth Sunday of Advent on 21st December 3:30pm for this traditional candlelit service of Nine Lessons and Carols.

Join in the festive singing including the fun ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ and listen to 9 short readings from the Bible revealing the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Jesus. Our fourth advent candle will be lit.

Enjoy the drinks and mince pies from the church servery afterwards. The Church bells will be rung.

Come to this family-friendly service for all ages to listen to the retelling of the Nativity story of Jesus’s birth as we gather around the manger on Christmas Eve at 4pm reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas.

The church bells will be rung and look out, before you enter the church, for the decorated and lit-up Advent window.
