About Us

Welcome to St. Mary Magdalen, Sheet

Sundays

About 100 people attend St. Mary Magdalen on Sunday mornings and we have a team of Welcomers on hand to help you feel at home.

Our congregation spans a range of ages and backgrounds.  There is no one style of dress -  please come as you are.  Our worship features a mixture of traditional hymns with choir and organ and more modern songs led by  a band.

Our sermons seek to apply the Bible in a relevant way to life today.

All ages worship together at the start of all our 10 O'Clock services with children and young people leaving for their own groups in the village hall after about 15 minutes.  On the third Sunday of the month we stay together for the whole service. And on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Sundays we share communion together.  Our services last from 40 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.

After our 10am services we have coffee in Sheet Village Hall. If you need directions to the hall, ask a welcomer!

Our 8 O'Clock services are shorter services of Holy Communion from either the Book of Common Prayer or Common Worship.

During the week we have a number of Home Groups, which enable people to get together for fellowship, prayer and teaching.

Parking is available on the roads around the Church. If you would like directions to the Church please click here

If you have any questions about our services etc, do feel free to ask a Welcomer as you come in to church.

We are pleased to pray with anyone who asks at the end of our services.

On the third Sunday evening of the month we enjoy an informal service with band led worship, teaching and prayer ministry.

During the week

Our youthworker and a team of volunteers lead various groups for young people

On the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month at 2.30pm Oasis offers a short service, tea, cake and chat for older people in The Half Moon pub.
