Our Building

The Grade II* listed building originated as a Chapel of Ease for the former Great Houghton Old Hall, now demolished. It was built around 1650, during the Commonwealth Period, for Sir Edward Rodes, High Sheriff of Yorkshire. More detail can be found on the parish website.
