St Leonard's Church, Wortley

Welcome to the Church of St Leonard in the village of Wortley, South Yorkshire.  We are part of the Diocese of Sheffield.

St Leonard's Church has medieval origins but is mainly 18th and 19th century.  It stands adjacent to the main road in the small village of Wortley serving the hamlets and villages in the Parish of Wortley.  It is 9 miles from Sheffield and 7.5 miles from Barnsley.

Our Church friends group, Len's Friends have been awarded a Community Celebration Award in recognition of their commitment to improving the local community and helping others.
