Church of England Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham Gringley on the Hill

St Peter & St Paul's Church, Gringley

Across the Oswaldbeck Benefice, churches are taking the relaxation of Coronavirus restrictions very seriously. Wearing a face covering is still recommended, along with use of hand sanitiser, and the NHS Test & Trace QR code (or completing the register of attendance). All the seating has been opened, but people attending church are advised to sit where they can maintain distance between themselves and anyone not in their 'bubble'. Holy Communion is delivered in one kind only and singing may be limited. This will be updated shortly.

See the post elsewhere giving details of services, when and where. The church is now open for private worship daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm. If you're going into the church, everyone is urged to be cautious. In addition to the above, please remember that if wishing to light a votive candle in memory of a loved one, bring your own lighter or matches.

Within our own Diocese, Bishop Paul and Sarah have produced a series of monthly morning briefings. Here is the link:

The parish of Gringley-on-the-Hill is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishop's guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s safeguarding pages contains vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
