Dear Brothers and Sisters In Christ. Even though the church is closed for public Worship we are still United through God. Let us continue to pray for each other in these challenging and difficult times. Remember if you are feeling alone and isolated, you are not alone. God is always by you side, loving you, guiding you, and protecting you. The churchwardens of St Simon and St Jude's Rainworth and St Mary's of the Purification Blidworth would like to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Easter. Take care, Stay safe and Stay home.Peace be with you all this EasterSue and Kath
Normally we would have a beautiful Easter Garden in our churches. This year some of us have made our own using materials found at home, and according to our individual talents. The youngest gardeners are 4 year old twins, and the oldest a lady in her 90's . Thank you to everyone for sharing your Easter Gardens with us.
At this time of year, we start to think about how to make the Easter Garden in church, which looks so lovely on Easter Sunday. We won't be able to do it this year but that does not mean we cant all have our own little ones at home. We are asking you to make a small Easter garden for your home using ONLY what you have available at home.It would be lovely if we could all share pictures of our gardens on Easter Sunday. Please start thinking and join in.Pictures to be emailed to Maureen who will put on the Benefice Facebook page for us.
Our church buildings and hall may be closed but the church is very much alive and serving our communities in different ways.
