Churches open as usual
We are 'back to normal' with our services, although we we are still keeping some Covid-19 protocols, in order to better protect the more vulnerable amongst us who come. Most people are no longer wearing facemasks, however, you are welcome to wear one if you wish to.
At Holy Communion, we are receiving the bread alone, with the priest receiving the wine on behalf of all. Our policy at St Peter's is to wait until the infection rates for COVID drop below 1 in 100 before removing this restriction, though we will keep this policy under review.
Please see the "Services and Events" page for more details of our actual services.
Online Evening Prayer at 5:30pm on Sundays continues as usual.

For our Holy Communion services, we are receiving the bread dipped by the priest in the wine, with the wafer then being placed into the hands of the person receiving it. If want to receive the bread only, that's fine -- just say 'bread only' as the priest approaches you at the altar rail. Our policy at Holy Trinity is to wait until the infection rates for COVID drop below 1 in 100 before returning to use the chalice in the usual way, though we will keep this policy under review.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
