About Us

St Mark's is a friendly Anglican church, serving the village of Siddal. We have been a part of the community for a century now, celebrating the presence of Jesus in our lives through praise, prayer and the sacraments.

Halifax Minster and St Mark's have been working in partnership since 2013. For information about weddings, baptism and funerals, and the other services at St Mark's, please contact Halifax Minster ([email protected]).

We also have a medium sized church hall, other rooms and a kitchen, which are available to rent by anyone who is interested. We are particularly keen on encouraging organisations which are involved in promoting community life and values and we are happy to accomodate them in the hall.

We currently host Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in the 25th Siddal Scouts at St Mark's. 25th Siddal is a thriving scout group, and you'd be very welcome if you're between the ages of 6 and 14. Scouts provides a fun and safe space to learn life skills and build life long friendships. You also get to camp! Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all join us in church at our monthly parade service. If you're looking for a family-friendly service, please join us, but be prepared to join in the Beavers and Cubs when they lead our singing!
