St. Andrews is a church dating from the 18th Century in the Pennine village of Stainland situated between Halifax and Huddersfield

Following building alterations some 10 years ago there is now a large social area at the rear of church with toilets and kitchen facilities

Worship is in a modern catholic style and is family and child friendly. Children are encouraged at services and in particular there is a Sunday School in our social area during part of the Parish Eucharist on a Sunday morning

Safeguarding

The parish of Stainland is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. For more information please click on the safeguarding link on the left.
