Church of England Diocese of Leeds Slaithwaite with East Scammonden

St James

The parish of Slaithwaite: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Morning Prayer from the Daily Office is an opportunity for prayer followed by reflections on the Bible passages. We primarily use the smartphone app for Daily Prayer available for iPhone and Android, but we also have a couple of copies of the hardback book available. Come along and join in or just listen. Morning Prayer is said around the Benefice:
Monday 9:30am, somewhere public in Marsden
Wednesday 9:30am, St James, Slaithwaite
Thursday 9:30am, St Bartholomew's, Marsden
Friday 9:30am, somewhere public in Slaithwaite

Every Sunday for Communion at 11:15 and every Wednesday morning at 9.30 for Morning Prayer and Bible study
