Parish Safeguarding Policy

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Janet Taylor. Janet is DBS checked and Safeguarding trained by the Diocese and can be contacted through church or through this webpage, our Facebook and Twitter accounts. Janet supports Father Blair, our Parish priest, but works independently of Father Blair as our Safeguarding Officer. Janet also works with our Church Wardens in this role, but is again independent of them.

If a child or adult is at  risk of significant harm, in the first instance you should always contact your local social services team or local police (call 101). You must then inform your Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) - listed below.

OUT OF HOURS ADVICE - If you require URGENT safeguarding advice outside of the hours 09.00 and 17.00, or if you are unable to speak to a DSA, then please contact your Archdeacon. If they are unavailable then you must contact any of the Archdeacons in the Diocese of Leeds.

The Safeguarding Team are here to help you
