Church of England Diocese of Winchester Hurstbourne Tarrant

St Peter Hurstbourne Tarrant

Welcome to St Peter’s Church in the lovely village of Hurstbourne Tarrant in the Test Valley.

During the Corona Virus pandemic we are holding limited services in church which must be pre-booked due to the current restrictions. The church building is now open for personal prayer from 9.30 am Thursday - Saturday and every day when there is no Sunday service in church. Morning prayer is at 9 am on Facebook Live at and our Sunday services are live streamed on zoom at 10 am. The links to all online services can be found at

Our church building is steeped in history since it was built at the end of the 12th Century and its walls are soaked in prayer of over seven hundred years. As the Christian community in the village we love to meet in worship to God, to grow in faith and spirituality and to take the love of Jesus out into the community.

"The parish of Hurstbourne Tarrant: St Peter's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Winchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
