Getting here

Westbourne is at the western end of the Wessex Way spur road (A338).

West Cliff Road runs parallel to the main route from Bournemouth to Poole (Poole Road) from Priory Road (near the Pier and Bournemouth International Centre) to Alum Chine Road and the Borough boundary with Poole (which is also the diocesan boundary).

Public Transport: The C1 (Yellow Bus) route passes the church with a stop opposite, along with (Hant's & Dorset / More Bus) Purbeck Breezer 50 and seasonal open-top routes.

Railway: The nearest railway station is Branksome, but there are more frequent trains to and from Bournemouth Central station.

Air: The nearest airport is Bournemouth Airport.

-oOo-

Geographically, the parish extends from the old County Borough boundary in the west (between the Avenue and Alumhurst Road), the old railway line in the north (Wessex Way), Middle Chine in the east (Clarendon Road and Queens Road), and the sea in the south.

In addition to the main commercial shopping area of Westbourne the parish includes many hotels; guest houses; second, rest, and retirement homes. This means that the main focus of ministry is on the mature resident population together with visitors and holidaymakers.

A .pdf map of the street location is provided by English Heritage.
