‘Happy Easter’ doesn’t quite sum up the extraordinary events we’ll be thinking about and celebrating over the next few days, as we reflect on the last supper and agony of Gethsemane tonight, the crucifixion tomorrow, the silence of Saturday and anticipate Sunday’s joyful news! While I’ve been off (more on that on next page) - I enjoyed listening to worship music including an album from Brandon Lake, House of Miracles. Two songs especially stuck in my mind as we look to Easter, conveying something of the earth shattering, life-transforming difference that Jesus’ death and resurrection makes. Here’s a snippet of one: RattleSaturday was silent Surely it was through But since when has impossible Ever stopped You? Friday's disappointment Is Sunday's empty tomb Since when has the impossible Ever stopped You?
During the past few months, I’ve been working on the project of how St Francis can support families with children who have additional needs. Using the information gathered at the recent focus group, and the generous grant from Test Valley Borough Council, I’m excited to share that St Francis will be setting up a play and support group for under 5s with additional needs and their parents/carers.Starting Tuesday 9th January 2024, 10.30am to 12 noon.
