As a church, we’re embarking on a season of changes -you’ve heard the news that Cliff and I will be leaving to take up a new post in Jersey. Caroline our administrator will also be leaving in early October. Change is always hard! I love the Northumbria community declaration of faith - it’s really helpful in times of uncertainty and transition: Lord, I will trust You, Help me to journey beyond the familiar And into the unknown. Give me the faith to leave old ways And break fresh ground with You. Christ of the mysteries, can I trust You To be stronger than each storm in me? I determine amidst all uncertainty always to trust. I choose to live beyond regret, and let You recreate my life. I believe You will make a way for me and provide for me, if only I trust You. I will trust in the darkness and know that my times are still in Your hand. I will believe You for my future, chapter by chapter, until all the story is written.
During the past few months, I’ve been working on the project of how St Francis can support families with children who have additional needs. Using the information gathered at the recent focus group, and the generous grant from Test Valley Borough Council, I’m excited to share that St Francis will be setting up a play and support group for under 5s with additional needs and their parents/carers.Starting Tuesday 9th January 2024, 10.30am to 12 noon.
