This year’s harvest is precious in a season with minimal rainfall and intense heat, crops wilting, animals being fed winter-feed and men and women working in extreme conditions to keep livestock and crops alive, produce harvested and packed for distribution to our tables.
At this year’s Harvest Services, we will be giving thanks for the harvest of land and seas and praying for the people who against so many perils bring us that harvest. We shall be praying too for the people whose harvests have failed. Will you join us?
Details of each Harvest Service in our 7 churches will be available in Notice Sheets - services for September and October on this website. Invite others to come with you; this year, the harvest is different.
Will you also join us in supporting farming communities here in England and Wales through the RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution), and in Africa, supporting farmers to overcome major challenges there too, through Farm Africa Charity by donating to this year’s joint Harvest Appeal? The QR code takes you to our Give a little harvest appeal page, or you can bring Cash donations for the Harvest Appeal to Harvest Services.
