Baptism

Baptism is a celebration of new beginnings. Christians believe that through Baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God offers his gift of love without limit. Baptism, also known as a Christening, marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives - the first step in response to God’s love.

Baptism is what Christians call “a sacrament”. That means it is a visible sign of God’s love; a way in which God’s love touches and changes lives. We can be baptised at any age; though if we are baptised as an adult, a Service of Confirmation usually follows soon after.

Child baptisms are held on specific dates & churches within our Parish throughout the year where you may be joined with other families celebrating the baptism of their children.

Baptisms will now be paused until next year and will re- commence on Sunday March 2nd 2025 at Fladbury Church.

If you would like to talk to us about a Baptism, please contact the Baptism Coordinator, Mrs Celia Willis by email.

There is no charge for a Baptism. Our church however, relies on giving, and any donation you might like to make will be gratefully received. There will also be a collection plate at the service for donations to support church funds.
