Accessibility

Toilets are located in church and in the church hall. There are facilities for those with limited mobility in both venues

Baby Changing Facilities in both venues (but please, please do not leave soiled nappies in the toilets; our cleaner cleans both church and hall just once a week)

There is a cycle rack outside the church hall

If you use the car park, there are three ways to enter both church and the church hall. It you have a child's buggy or pram or you have mobility problems and can't managed steps, there is access to the hall from the bottom of the car park.

You can either walk up steps into the church or there is an access ramp that can be approached from Orchard Street.

There are facilities in the church and in the church hall for those in wheel chairs or with limited mobility. The hall can be accessed off the cycle/footpath via the bottom of the car park

The car park can be accessed by turning off Bath Rd opposite the Co-op, left into Orchard Street and left again on to the car park. Post code is WR5 3DW

There is an access ramp that is approached from Orchard Street for those with wheel chairs, pushchairs or with limited mobility

The hearing loop is in operation for all services and there is also one with Bluetooth in the church hall

We have Braille hymn books

Most orders of service are available in large print as are hymn books

All dogs are made most welcome

There is a ramp into the church and access to the church hall from the bottom of the car park via the garden

Music and Worship

Occasional concerts are held in church.

A friendly group of the congregation meet each Wednesday morning at 10am. The service lasts approximately 30 minutes and is followed by refreshments


Groups, Courses and Activities

Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet each Tuesday from 5pm onwards. Please see web site for individual group times. Perrywood Rangers for 14 - 18 year olds meet in the Church on the second and fourth Thursday evenings 7.30 - 9pm

Oddfellows and a Heart Support Group meet regularly. Please see list of hall hirers for details. We also run a Chat & Cuppa Club offering lots of good humour with a free cuppa and, sometimes, cake! Just turn up on the first Tues of every month 2 - 3pm

Held in the Church Hall on the first Tues of each month from 2pm until approx. 3 / 3.30pm, the Chat & Cuppa Club (or Knit & Natter - it is what you what to call it) meets to bring together anyone and everyone in and around St Marks and St Peters areas and even further afield. There is no charge, we just ask for a donation towards refreshments so please just pop in - ladies and gents of all ages invited; arrive as a stranger, leave as a friend

St Marks supports St Pauls Hostel and The Trussell Trust with donations of clothes and food from time to time

Come and join us in the church hall on the first Tues of each month for a community get together 2 - 3.30pm with free refreshments; no upper or lower age group, everyone is made welcome

Help for Visitors

Owing to logistics, the church is only open during and for a short while after services. If you would like to look round at any time, please contact Jan Vale, PCC Secretary, in the first instance (01905 351392).


Other Features

We support the Worcester Foodbank and St Paul's Hostel

The garden that fronts Bath Road might look a little scruffy and overgrown but it is intended to support wildlife and has a bug barn, hedgehog house and bee hotel

The church hall is available for private parties throughout the week all year round; there is currently daytime & some evening availability. Many and varied groups meet in the hall, please see www.stmarksworcester.wordpress.com for photographs and a full list of users. The hire charge includes heat and light at all times and is currently £13 per hour (this is until 31 Dec but may rise in the new year if utility costs continue to increase). There is a large, well-equipped kitchen included in the hire charge and if you are planning an afternoon tea event, we can even loan you the china.
