with many thanks to the Mothers’ Union here at S. Peter’s! The Mothers’ Union have a wide ministry of prayer, service and social justice campaigning, but they also are phenomenalKnitters. These items were blessed in the worship last week to go off and share the love with families and especially small or premature babies in the local area
LET THERE BE LIGHT - (with reduced glare)!A very big thank you to Robert Chapman of Chapman's Electrical for making arrangements for our chandeliers to take a set of reclaimed opaline light shades. The shades were saved from the now closed church of S. Peter's in Upper Gornal part of Gornal and Sedgley Team Ministry https://www.facebook.com/share/1jHALVPHmT88Q6PC/Special thanks go to electrical engineers, Alan, Sam and another young lad whose name we didn't catch for carrying out the work to a high standard. The shades have replaced missing ones that got broken many years ago. Hopefully it will reduce glare, especially for people sitting upstairs in the galleries for concerts and services. Thanks also goes to Ian Cramp our Diocesan Lighting Advisor for his help and support.
What a delight to have another baptism this week, baptising little Theodore Brian 😍, our new brother in Christ. Many prayers for Theodore and his parents, godparents and sponsor and all the family and friends. Welcome to the Church family, Theodore! (Many thanks to Theo’s parents for sharing the photos!)
