Coffee Church takes place monthly at St John's. We serve coffee and cake from 12pm, sometimes there is light music and conversation from our Traidpoint cafe for the first half an hour and at 12.30pm we start our informal, table based worship.

This service is design to give easy access to church and faith, ideal for anyone who hasn't been to church before, like something with a bit of interaction and enjoys a short service.

Lead by Rev'd Sarah or NWCC Claire it offers gentle, prayer, worship, conversation, activity and music around a set theme - usually following the Christian Calendar. We look forward to welcoming you in the future

Friendly, fun, accessible family worship, exploring bible stories and themes through craft, singing, prayers, practical storytelling and food, Messy Church is a well loved worship style that breaks down the barrier for children and adults to access Church, faith and worship.

At St John's, we invite you to join us to see what it is all about and aim to be as accessible as possible so that all families, particularly those with children who have additonal needs, are neurodiverse or disabled can still be a part of the fun.

Our main Sunday Communion Service, with hymns, a musical setting and choir anthem, and an address. There is no formal Sunday School, but there will be activities for children in our children's corner, and people with safeguarding training to work with them.

Our Toddler group is a free session for those aged from birth to 5 years. There are a range of toys, crafts and activities on offer. we also have a story usually themed around a bible message and snack time. We also offer a baby area and have plenty of space for prams, buggys and bags. We meet on Monday afternoons in the church where our volunteers are ready to wlecome you. We offer a baby change facility in our new toilets, hot drinks for parents/carers and helpful caring insights into parenting challenges.

Our All Age Worship service is intended to bring everyone together for a short, easy to follow service, involving all of the church family. We will still follow the pattern of a Communion service, but more condensed. With well-known hymns, screen projection to follow the service and a short talk specifically planned with all ages in mind.

Pizza and prayer is group that welcomes young people from the age of 14-18 into church. We meet monthly, catch up, share in takeaway pizza and thanksgiving conversation, we craft, we play games, we chat, we do whatever the mood takes and finish our afternoon in the candle prayer corner, praying over the month ahead.
