We will maintain one principle service across the benefice each Sunday morning, but want to make it feel more appropriate and personal for both churches. The following pattern will be continued: (If clergy cover is available)
1st. Sunday – Eucharist service, led and live-streamed from St James
2nd. Sunday – Morning Praise with Holy Communion service, led and live-streamed from St Michael’s
3rd. Sunday – Celebrate! service, led and live-streamed from St James, followed by Holy Communion
4th. Sunday – Morning Praise with Holy Communion service, led and live-streamed from St Michael’s
5th. Sunday – as it occurs; to be led and live-streamed from St James and St Michael’s alternatively,
Our other services (on Sunday evenings and mid-week) will continue as now. We will be conducting a fuller review of our ongoing service pattern.
It is important that you book for both Wednesday & Sunday services as there is a limit to the numbers allowed under the present rules.
Can we ask everyone to stay in the seat they were guided to for the Communion Services, and/or any other service you are attending in person in church. With the Covid restrictions we have a very limited number of seats available, so any moving about stops us from being able to use those seats for 48 hours, also we have to have 2 metres between everyone.
Also, please wear warm clothing if you attend as all doors must be left open to allow for ventilation.
Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we must ask that members leave the church immediately after the services.
It's great to see everyone, but can we ask that if there's no one outside to 'meet & greet', that attendees would queue by the cones and wait to be called in, then to be seated. This saves congestion in the porch area, as we have to follow the government guidelines for social distancing.</div>
