September 2026 Connected

2026 SEPTEMBER Connected_Final.pdf Download

September often feels like a season of new beginnings. As summer gives way to autumn and familiar routines return, it’s a good time to pause and consider how our faith shapes the way we live.

This month, Revd. Glyn encourages us to live an authentic Christian life, allowing our faith to be seen through the joy, welcome and love we show others. Revd. Roy explores a similar theme, asking what it means to be “clothed with Christ” – with compassion, kindness, humility, patience and, above all, love.

There’s plenty happening in our churches too. As we prepare for Alpha, Maureen shares her own journey of faith and the importance of having a safe place to ask questions. We also look at a fascinating report on how young adults are discovering Christianity today, often through relationships and personal invitation. Perhaps time to encourage a friend or family member to look at our Alpha course?

For our younger members, Rise & Shine at 9 is on its way! Our two rising young journalists put their questions to Revd. Glyn ahead of this new monthly family gathering. We also celebrated what was, according to Glyn, our first ever full-immersion baptism, as young Hazel was baptised on 9th August – a joyful reminder of faith growing in a new generation.

Alongside these, you’ll find Bible Bite, book reviews, parish news and more.

We hope this edition encourages you to explore, reflect and perhaps invite someone else along for the journey.

Every blessing,
Ivy & Gemma
