Welcome to St James the Deacon Church in Woodthorpe. We are a Church of England parish church, part of the Diocese of York, and are a registered Inclusive church. Our regular services include Morning Prayer Monday - Friday at 8:30am, Eucharist on Wednesdays at 10am and Parish Eucharist on Sundays at 10am. On the first Wednesday of each month our Eucharist includes prayers for Healing and Wholeness. During term time we hold family worship afternoons every other Saturday called Junction Kids, running from 3pm - 5pm and ending with tea.

Where faith and family come together! This family worship session meets every other term time Saturday for songs, Bible stories, crafts, activities, bubble prayers and a shared tea. All families welcome!

A family afternoon workshop all about the Christmas Story. Expect crafts, activities and fun!
Join us as the Stamford Bridge Singers lead us in singing Christmas carols, as we hear the Christmas story together. This service is followed by mince pies and mulled wine.
Come along to a family friendly crib service including Christingles. All are most welcome.
